Poly Gloss 85 Polyaspartic | High Gloss Topcoat System
Poly Gloss 85 is a professional grade, 85% solids polyaspartic topcoat designed for epoxy flooring systems that require high gloss, durability, and fast return to service. This two component 1:1 system delivers excellent chemical resistance, UV stability, and long term performance in both residential and commercial environments.
This product is intended for professional use only. Polyaspartic coatings require proper mixing, timing, and application technique to achieve the desired results. It is built for experienced installers who need consistent results, longer working time, and a finish that holds up under real world use.
Important Notice: Poly Gloss 85 Regular is NOT recommended for metallic epoxy floors. Because of its faster cure profile, standard polyaspartic orange peel texture will be evident. For metallic systems that require extended working time and a smoother, glass like finish, you must use Poly Gloss 85 Slow Go.
This product is most commonly used as the final seal coat for full flake, quartz, and solid color epoxy flooring systems. It can also be used as a base coat in applications exposed to direct sunlight where UV stability is required.
Unlike many polyaspartics, Poly Gloss 85 is formulated with no plasticizers. This eliminates tire staining and helps maintain the clean, high gloss appearance of the floor over time.
What Makes Poly Gloss 85 Different

Minimal elasticity prevents tire and equipment impressions
-
High gloss finish for maximum visual impact
-
22 minute working time which is significantly longer than most polyaspartics
-
UV stable and will not amber
-
High build capability up to 10 mils without whitening
- Fast return to service
Working Time and Application Control
Poly Gloss 85 offers approximately 22 minutes of working time, which is 50 to 100 percent longer than most polyaspartic coatings. This allows installers to maintain control, work larger areas, and achieve a more consistent finish.
For projects that require even more working time, a slower version is available: Poly Gloss 85 Slow Go, which provides 60 to 90 minutes of working time. Poly Gloss 85 Slow Go is an ideal fit for any size metallic floor and larger solid color and light flake floors.
Because of its faster cure profile compared to slower polyaspartic systems, Poly Gloss 85 Regular is best suited for flake, quartz, and solid color floors where speed and durability are the priority.
Mixing Instructions
Poly Gloss 85 Regular is a 1:1 Base to Activator mixture.
- When mixing 2 gallons or less, use a 5 Gallon Paddle Mixer and mix for 2 minutes
- When mixing 3 or 4 gallons in a larger bucket, use a Box Mixer and mix for 2 minutes
- Always mix at 300 to 450 RPM
Proper mixing is critical to achieving consistent cure, clarity, and performance.
