Full Flake Epoxy Floor Kits
If you’re searching for a full flake epoxy floor kit that actually includes the right materials, correct coverage, and professional grade components, you’re in the right place.
One Stop Epoxy Full Flake Epoxy Floor Kits are built for garage floors, workshops, commercial spaces, and high traffic concrete floors where full broadcast vinyl flakes are the goal, not shortcuts. These kits are designed the same way professional installers build full flake floors every day, using 100% solids epoxy, proper flake coverage, and a polyaspartic topcoat to lock everything in.
Whether you’re a contractor or a serious DIYer, this system is designed to eliminate guesswork and deliver consistent results. At One Stop Epoxy we give you more product for less price.
What Is a Full Flake Epoxy Floor?
A full flake epoxy floor is a broadcast flooring system where vinyl flakes are broadcast to rejection into a wet epoxy base coat until full coverage is attained. Once cured, excess flakes are scraped and vacuumed, then sealed with a clear protective topcoat.
When properly installed the result is a floor that:
- Hides concrete imperfections better than solid color epoxy
- Provides built in texture and slip resistance
- Creates a uniform, professional appearance
- Holds up well in garages, shops, and commercial environments
This system is commonly used in residential garages, auto shops, warehouses, showrooms, common areas, public restrooms, storage areas, commercial kitchens, and other concrete spaces where durability and appearance both matter.
What’s Included in Our Full Flake Epoxy Floor Kits
Each Full Flake Epoxy Floor Kit includes the core materials required to install a proper full broadcast flake floor. Our kits are sized correctly based on your square footage selection. At One Stop Epoxy our Epoxy Flooring Kits give you more product for less price than our competitors.
100% Solids Epoxy Base Coat
The base coat is our One Stop Epoxy Self Leveling 100% Solids Industrial Grade Epoxy which comes in pre pigmented 3 gallon kits. Each kit covers between 400 to 450 square feet per kit. Compare that to our competitor that gives you 1.5 gallons of epoxy to cover the same square footage. Our commercial grade epoxy is ideal for full flake broadcast applications. Also, because it’s delivered pre pigmented, there is no need to purchase separate color pigments.
Coverage is calculated to allow proper working time and consistent flake acceptance.
This is the same commercial grade epoxy used by professional installers as a base coat for full flake floors, partial flake floors, quartz systems, sand broadcast systems, and more.
Full Coverage Vinyl Flakes
Each kit includes a generous amount of vinyl flakes sized for full broadcast coverage. These are the same flake blends, measured out at the same coverage professional installers across the country use. Full coverage means flakes are applied until the epoxy will no longer accept more material.
Flake blends are selected during the kit build process so you can match the floor appearance to your space.
Polyaspartic Clear Topcoat
The system is finished with our famous PolyGloss 85 Slow Go industrial grade polyaspartic clear coat, which seals in the flakes, adds abrasion resistance, and creates a uniform finished surface.
Polyaspartic topcoats are commonly used because they:
- Provide excellent wear resistance
- Do not amber in the sun like epoxy can
- Handle temperature swings better
- Cure faster than traditional epoxy
- Deliver a clean, professional finish
Key Features Of Our PolyGloss 85 Slow Go
- 60 minutes working time up to 85 degrees
- Apply up to 10 mils in one pass without whitening
- Non porous, easy clean sealed surface
- Abrasion and scratch resistant
- 85% solids for high build performance
- UV stable and non yellowing
- Plasticizer free to help prevent tire staining
- Wide temperature range and fast return to service
Optional Add Ons You Can Include With Your Kit
Every concrete floor is different. That’s why this page allows you to add components based on your project conditions instead of forcing a one size fits all kit.
Optional upgrades include:
- Epoxy primer for improved adhesion
- Moisture vapor epoxy for concrete with moisture concerns
- Crack and joint filler paste for surface repairs
- Anti slip additives for added texture
- Tool kits sized to your floor
This approach lets you build the correct system without overbuying or missing critical components.
Where Full Flake Epoxy Floor Kits Are Commonly Used
Full flake epoxy floors are one of the most versatile decorative systems available. These kits are commonly used for:
- Residential garage floors
- Workshops and hobby spaces
- Auto detailing garages
- Commercial storage areas
- Retail back of house spaces
- Utility rooms and service corridors
- Commercial kitchens
- Light industrial environments
Because the flakes hide surface variations and create texture, they are especially popular in spaces where plain solid color epoxy would show too much wear or inconsistency.
How Much Coverage Do I Need?
Coverage is based on true square footage, not guesswork. Each kit option on this page is sized to match the square footage range selected during the build process.
If your space falls between sizes, it is always better to size up, not down. Full broadcast systems require enough epoxy to keep flakes suspended and enough flake material to reach rejection.
Professional Grade Yet DIY Friendly
These kits are designed to:
- Be applied to a properly ground and prepped concrete floor. If you are applying to a wood substrate or not grinding the concrete floor please call our store 407 352 7653 and speak with one of our tech support team members for options.
- Be commercial grade when properly installed by trained installers
- Last many years
Clear instructions, proper material ratios, and realistic coverage expectations make the system predictable from start to finish.
Why Buy a Full Flake Epoxy Floor Kit From One Stop Epoxy?
There are many epoxy kits online, but most fall short in one or more areas. One Stop Epoxy kits are different because:
- You get more materials. We deliver almost twice the materials for almost half the price of our closest online competitor.
- All of our materials are professional grade. These are not consumer diluted products
- Our epoxy is 100% solids. It’s not water based. It’s not enamel paint posing as epoxy.
- We do not cheat you on flakes. The flake coverage is calculated for full broadcast.
- Our topcoat is polyaspartic. It’s not thin coat urethane or cheap acrylic sealers
- The included components are sized realistically, not optimistically
These are the same products sold at the same coverage rate as sold to professional epoxy installers daily.
Frequently Asked Questions About Full Flake Epoxy Floor Kits
Will hot tires damage a flake floor?
Hot tire pickup occurs when a vehicle with hot tires is parked on a low quality, thin, or poorly installed epoxy floor. The heat from the tires softens inferior epoxy coatings. As the tires cool and contract, they can grab the coating and pull it from the concrete surface. This problem is most commonly associated with DIY epoxy paint kits and floors installed without proper surface preparation. When a full flake epoxy floor is installed using professional grade 100 percent solids epoxy, proper flake coverage, correct surface preparation, and allowed to fully cure before vehicle traffic, hot tire pickup is easily avoidable.
Why use polyaspartic instead of epoxy for the topcoat?
Polyaspartic is the industry standard topcoat for professionals when it comes to full flake floors. Polyaspartic is exceptionally strong as a topcoat. It is extremely difficult to scuff or scrape, and it does not turn yellow in the sun.
Will the floor yellow over time?
When the epoxy base coat is fully covered with vinyl flakes, it is not exposed to sunlight and therefore cannot yellow. Exposed epoxy will yellow over time when subjected to UV light. Our PolyGloss 85 topcoat is UV stable and does not yellow. When installed with a quality polyaspartic topcoat, a full flake epoxy floor will maintain its appearance far better and for much longer than epoxy only systems exposed to UV light.
Do I need to grind my concrete before installation?
Mechanical surface preparation is always recommended for concrete floors. Proper grinding opens the concrete pores and allows epoxy to bond correctly. In limited cases, due to advances in resinous material technology, specialty primers may be used instead of grinding. These primers may only be used on new concrete or concrete that is truly clean and free of contaminants. Grinding remains the most reliable method for long term performance.
Is a full flake epoxy floor slippery?
A full flake epoxy floor is generally less slippery than a smooth solid color epoxy floor. The vinyl flakes create natural texture, and additional anti slip additives can be added to the topcoat if desired. This makes full flake systems a popular choice for garages, workshops, and commercial spaces where traction is important.
How do I clean a full flake epoxy floor?
Cleaning a full flake epoxy floor is simple. It is a sealed surface, so dirt does not soak in. Sweep as needed to remove loose dirt. Periodically passing a microfiber mop lightly dampened with water will typically make the floor look like new. For exterior applications, water from a hose or bucket and a foam rubber squeegee works well. For deeper indoor cleaning, use mild cleaners such as 409 or Simple Green. For exterior garages or patios, dish soap such as Dawn or Palmolive works well. Avoid harsh degreasers, bleach, abrasive scrub pads, and always remove spilled chemicals immediately.
How long does a full flake epoxy floor last?
When installed correctly, a full flake epoxy floor can last many years commercially depending on usage. Residentially, you can expect your floor to last decades. Longevity depends on surface preparation, traffic level, topcoat selection, and installation procedures.
Is this better than a solid color epoxy floor?
Full flake systems hide imperfections better, provide texture, and tend to look cleaner longer. Solid color floors show wear and surface flaws more easily.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, these kits can be installed by capable DIYers who are comfortable working with epoxy and properly preparing concrete. A full flake epoxy floor requires attention to detail, the correct tools, and proper surface preparation to achieve professional results. This is not a paint and roll project.
Many contractors use these exact kits, and serious DIYers can achieve excellent results when instructions are followed carefully and sufficient time is allowed for each step of the process. In some cases, we also offer no grinding, more user friendly installation options that may be appropriate depending on the condition of the concrete and the application. If you are unsure which approach is best for your project, you are welcome to call and speak with our technical support team before getting started.
Does this system require grinding?
Mechanical surface preparation is always recommended on concrete. Proper grinding opens the concrete and allows epoxy to bond correctly. However, due to technological advances in the resinous material industry, specialty primers may be used under the proper conditions. These specialty primers may only be used on new concrete and concrete that is truly contaminant free.
