Working time decides more here than any other spec. A top coat that sets up before you are done leaves roller marks and lap lines, and nothing fixes that after the fact.

Match Your Floor to the Right Top Coat

Most of this collection is Veteran, and that is not marketing. These are professional products that punish a mistake. If you are new to this, Poly Gloss 85 Slow Go is where to start.

What UV Stable Actually Means

Polyaspartic is UV stable and will not amber. That is a factual statement, and it is also the most misunderstood spec in this category.

Here is what it does not mean. Put a clear polyaspartic over a white epoxy floor in full sun and that floor will turn yellow in no time flat. The polyaspartic did not fail. It is still clear. What you are looking at is the epoxy underneath ambering, and you are seeing it straight through the clear coat on top.

UV stable means the top coat will not yellow. It does not mean the top coat stops UV from reaching what is under it. If the floor lives in the sun, the base coat has to handle UV on its own, which is why LABPOX 40 UV exists and why a clear coat over standard epoxy is not a fix.

Urethane is a different case. It goes on thin and adds much less UV resistance than a polyaspartic. It is an excellent interior wear layer. It is not a sun shield.

The One Rule That Ruins Metallic Floors

Poly Gloss 85 Regular is not for metallic. Its faster cure profile leaves standard polyaspartic orange peel texture, and on a metallic floor that texture is the whole job gone.

Metallic gets Poly Gloss 85 Slow Go. It runs 60 to 90 minutes of working time and stays wet on the floor for up to 8 hours, so it self levels over your design instead of trapping roller marks. That is what produces the glass like finish, and it is also why Slow Go is the most forgiving product in this collection. Premera T2 MCM is the other metallic answer when scratch resistance matters more than open time.

Poly Gloss 85 Regular is built for what it is built for: full flake, partial flake, quartz, and solid color floors where 25 minutes of control and a 24 hour return to service are exactly right. Twenty five minutes is roughly double what most polyaspartics give you, and it holds in real heat, which is why it is the one most installers reach for on flake work.

Polyaspartic Coatings for One Day Floors

A polyaspartic coating is what makes a one day floor possible. Prep, base, broadcast, scrape, top coat, done in a single shift.

Labfast 85 (+) runs the whole system off one hardener. The same Part B handles your pigmented base and your clear top coat, which cuts your inventory in half. It gives about 25 minutes of open time and goes tack free in 45 to 90 minutes. LABFAST 85 PRO delivers the same one day capability at a price that protects your margin on volume work. LABFAST Low Odor 85 XT gives the longest open time of the LABFAST products, and its Advanced Opacity Technology holds flakes where you throw them, which most installers find cuts clear top coat usage by 10 to 15 percent.

Odorless Polyaspartic for Occupied Spaces

Some jobs are not empty buildings. Hospitals, schools, occupied offices, and homes with the HVAC running will not tolerate solvent smell moving through the ductwork.

LABSHIELD ECO is 100 percent solids and solvent free, which means virtually odorless with no toxic load. The (+) Standard gives about 25 minutes of working time for larger slabs. The (-) Ultra Fast runs about 15 minutes when speed matters more. Both are 2:1.

Urethane Top Coats for Interior and Industrial Floors

Urethane is what you reach for when a polyaspartic is not the right tool.

One Stop Epoxy Urethane WB is water based and low odor for occupied interiors on a budget, it comes in gloss, satin, and matte, and it is interior only. LABFENDER is the heavy duty answer: an aliphatic polyurethane built for forklifts, warehouses, and constant equipment traffic, with up to 60 times more resistance to plasticizer transfer than standard coatings. It goes over epoxy or polyaspartic, never straight onto concrete. AQUALAB Pure Gloss is a water based aliphatic urethane in gloss or satin for warehouse and light commercial floors.

APF Polyurethane 100 is a high solids aliphatic polyurethane for auto shops, aircraft hangars, and clean rooms, with fuel, chemical, and graffiti resistance. It comes in gloss and satin, and the satin requires a curing accelerator. APF Polyurethane 250 is the different one in this group: an acrylic urethane that works as a primer or a sealer, penetrates minimally profiled concrete, and is the answer for grind and seal, acid stained, and decorative concrete work.

Quick Seal Is Not a Seal Coat for Epoxy

Saying this plainly because the name invites the mistake. Nukote Quick Seal is a penetrating water repellent for stone, masonry, and bare concrete. It soaks into the substrate and leaves it breathable.

It is not a film forming top coat. It is not a seal coat for epoxy, metallic, polyaspartic, or any resinous floor. Do not put it over a coated floor. Where it belongs is bare stone and masonry, or as a sealer under Premera T2.

Gloss, Satin, and Matte

The matting agent is for Premera T2 only. It is not a modifier for anything else we sell.

What causes tire staining, and how do I avoid it?

Plasticizer migration. Poly Gloss 85 and Slow Go are formulated with no plasticizers, which removes the cause. LABFENDER resists plasticizer transfer up to 60 times better than standard coatings.

How long before I can drive on the floor?

Depends on the product. Poly Gloss 85 accepts vehicular traffic in 24 hours. Slow Go needs 48. Urethane WB needs 72. Decide that before you order, not after. Follow the TDS for the product you used.

Can I use Quick Seal over my epoxy floor?

No. Quick Seal is a penetrating water repellent for stone, masonry, and bare concrete. It is not a seal coat for epoxy, metallic, polyaspartic, or any resinous floor.

What is the difference between polyaspartic and urethane?

Speed and use case. Polyaspartic cures fast enough for one day floors and holds up in sunlight far better. Aliphatic urethane like LABFENDER trades that for extreme abrasion resistance under forklifts and heavy equipment, and adds much less UV resistance. Can I apply LABFENDER directly to concrete?

No. It is a protective top coat over epoxy or polyaspartic systems. Inside the recoat window no prep is needed. Outside it, sand to a uniform dull finish, vacuum, and wipe clean first.
