Comet Vinyl Flakes – 1/4" Flake Size (FB-711)

Comet (FB-711) combines crisp white, layered grays, bold black, and bright blue for a cool toned blend with a burst of color. Inspired by a brilliant streak across the night sky, its modern palette adds movement and contrast while pairing beautifully with sapphire accents and metallic details.

Comet Is Made Up Of:

  • 10% Black (F1050) – Deep contrast
  • 20% White (F1820) – Bright, snowy white
  • 20% Gray (F6606) – Medium gray
  • 20% Blue Gray (F6621) – Soft, cool blue
  • 20% Light Gray (F9958) – Balanced neutral gray
  • 10% Blue (F6604) – Vivid blue accent

Together, these colors create a balanced mix of cool neutrals and blue accents for a clean, contemporary floor.

What Are Vinyl Flakes?

Vinyl flakes are decorative aggregates used to enhance the look and feel of resin-based flooring systems. They add color, texture, and light slip resistance while increasing the visual impact of your epoxy floor.

When broadcasting flakes, we recommend throwing them at a 45 degree angle parallel to the floor. This will ensure that you will receive the proper and even coverage with each batch of flakes.

Partial

The best way to broadcast a partial or decorative flake floor is as follows:

1. Pour flakes into a 1 - 2 gallon bucket.

2. If right handed, hold the bucket under your left arm like a football.

3. Grab a small pinch of flakes with your right index finger, thumb, and forefinger, and gently flick the flakes up and let the flakes fall down like snow.

Apply the flakes evenly and to your liking.

Full

The best way to broadcast a full flake floor is as follows:

1. Pour flakes into a 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot or Lowes.

2. If right handed, hold the bucket under your left arm like a football.

3. Reach in with your right hand and scoop up as many flakes as you can and "feed the chickens"

4. We call it "Feeding the chickens" because you grab a handful and broadcast them up into the air allowing them to fall down heavily and evenly.

For a full flake floor system you will need 1lb of flakes for every 8 Sq Ft of flooring.

For a partial flake floor floor system you will need between 5 to 10Lbs for every 400 Sq Ft depending on personal preference.
