Blend the bucket of BASE (Part A) for 1 minute before pouring into a larger bucket and combining with activator. Step 2 The Blend For 1 Gallon Kits: Pour Part A and Part B into a larger mixing bucket and blend for 2 minutes using a paddle mixer. For 2 or More Gallons: When mixing multiple kits together (up to 4 gallons in a 5 gallon bucket), you must use a Box Mixer and blend for 2 - 3 minutes to ensure a complete chemical reaction. Step 3 Application Pour the mixed material directly onto the floor. While wearing spiked shoes, spread the material evenly using a flat squeegee. Small Projects: You may utilize a paint tray and dip and roll using a 1/4” nap epoxy roller (ensure the roller is de-shedded prior to use). To avoid roller lines, you may backroll the floor before the product becomes tacky. Why do I have to sand before applying my metallic or topcoat?Sanding creates a mechanical profile or "teeth" for the next layer to grab onto. Skipping this step leads to poor adhesion and potential delamination. Which mixer should I use?For single gallon kits, a standard paddle mixer is fine. For anything 2 gallons or larger, a Box Mixer is required to ensure the Part A and Part B are fully integrated without trapping excessive air. Do I need a primer before epoxy?Yes. A primer improves adhesion, seals concrete pores to reduce outgassing, and helps prevent bubbles in your high build layers. Can I use this under metallic epoxy?Yes.
