It resists impact and abrasion, stands up to steel wheeled cart traffic, and is unaffected by hot cooking oils, animal fats, and common solvents. It is formulated to accommodate the difference in thermal expansion between concrete and coating, and it holds up to constant service temperatures up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. CastorCrete SL is a rapid turnaround, one step system, installed without a primer in typical applications and returned to service quickly. It is made from sustainable raw materials, contains low VOC, and is available with an optional antimicrobial additive to help inhibit fungal and microbial growth. For a polyaspartic topcoat, Poly Gloss 85 gives a 22 minute working time, and Poly Gloss 85 Slow Go extends that to 90 minutes for larger areas. No. It installs as a one step system directly on properly prepared concrete, without a separate primer coat, which helps it return to service quickly. Can I use it on green or high moisture concrete? Yes. It may be applied to concrete as early as 7 to 10 days old at 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and to substrates indicating 100% relative humidity under ASTM F2170, provided the concrete is otherwise clean and structurally sound. Can I install part of a kit and save the rest? No. Each kit is proportioned as a complete 42 pound unit and must be used as a whole. Dividing a kit into partial batches will not cure or perform correctly. Do I need to grind the concrete first? Yes. The concrete must be mechanically prepared to an ICRI CSP 3 profile. Acid etching is not recommended for this product and will void the manufacturer warranty.
